Hola Roxbury!
OUR STORY
For Carmen and me, La Parada is more than just a restaurant—it's a heartfelt homage to our Dominican roots. Nestled in Egleston Square, as the sun rises, the air fills with the tantalizing scents of traditional Dominican dishes drifting from our kitchen. Here, we aim to bring a piece of our homeland to our community.
The name "La Parada" is deeply meaningful, reflecting the lively history of our neighborhood. Inspired by the bustling energy of the past, particularly the vibrant bus routes where my father once worked as a beloved conductor. We chose a name that translates to "the stop" in English. It's a nod to the warmth and familiarity that defined those times.
When you step inside our doors, you're immediately enveloped in a vibrant atmosphere, alive with laughter, conversation, and the sizzle of ingredients meeting hot pans. Each dish on our menu is a labor of love, meticulously crafted from cherished family recipes handed down through generations. From crispy fried pork to savory plantains, every bite tells a story of tradition and heritage.
Welcome to La Parada, where every visitor is embraced as part of our extended family, invited to share in the rich tapestry of Dominican culture and cuisine.
